John has over 30 years experience in counseling and coaching mid-career adults to find their unique calling. He has helped several thousand men and women transition from the market place to ministry service positions, as well as assisted ministry organizations in resolving job performance conflicts. He has been on numerous television and radio programs including Focus on the Family, 700 Club, Moody Mid-Day and the American Association of Christian Counselors broadcast. He is a certified Career Management Professional and has authored Discovering Your Natural Talents (NavPress), Switching Tracks (Baker '91) Christian Career Planning (Multnomah '79) and the IDAK Career Match Systemª.

John is married to Cathy (1973) and has two children and one grandson. He enjoys white water rafting, sea kayaking, wilderness hiking, Westfalia adventures.
