Sometimes it's hard to visualize what the service of the Finishers Project might look like for you. Here's a snapshot of the experience of some of your peers:

Phenomenal experience! You people are really on the ball. David, Mount Dora, FL

Helpful and Encouraging
I have found a mission organization which I am interested in and plan to be a volunteer there the summer of 2005. Everyone with whom I have had contact or talked with has been very helpful and encouraging. Thank you, Florence, ME

Finishers Project - I Found a Place for Me
When I first decided to leave my job and looking seriously about serving with a missions organization, I went to the Wycliffe website to learn about opportunities. There I saw an ad for a Finishers Forum, which I had not heard of before. I was thrilled to discover mission agencies were specifically targeting people my age and with my skills. At the conference I made my first live contact with several organizations. At Finishers Project I learned there couild be a place for me in missions after all my years in business. Cathy, IL

Finishers Web Matching - Sabbatical
Thank you for all your help in finding a match for my sabbatical time. My husband and I are now specified term members with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Your site allowed us to find the place God had for us. You may now delete our names. Bonnie and Larry, PA

Finishers Forum - Significant Impact
My wife and I attended and were challenged at the first Finishers Forum conference (Chicago, 1998). We are now serving as perennial missionaries in a Central Asia 'stan country, since 2000. I teach Computer Science in a university there and we care for the souls God lets us encounter. It's very exciting to see how the LORD uses us there, with a significant impact on many lives. We go again in February for 2005. Professor, OR

Finishers Project - WEB MATCH FEEDBACK - RVers
I don't recall where I first heard about the Finishers web site, but signing on to it was one of the best things I have ever done. Shortly after submitting my information to the web site, I began to receive a wealth of information from a variety of organizations. While reviewing the information, we noticed that some had RV facilities. Being RVers, my wife and I were immediately interested in pursuing volunteer opportunities with Wycliffe and have been wonderfully engaged with them serving the Lord with our time and talent.

Finishers Project - WEB MATCHED AFTER 2 YEARS
Phil and I have felt called to missions for a number of years now. Our process started with the web form that we completed on www.finishers.org about 2 years ago. This went out to many mission organizations and we had a large response.

After your organization put the word out to the mission field that we were interested in a short term mission project (as our first assignment, anyway), responses from the field began to come in. It was narrowed down to the Philippines and Papua New Guinea based on our experience and what they needed done. We finally decided that PNG would be the best thing for our family at this time -- especially since we are more comfortable, as a rule, in the country than a large city (we live on a farm!). The kids are doing great and I'll be happy once we get there (I really don't like to fly!).

Finishers Project - RETIRED PILOT FLYING AGAIN
Last March I received an e-note, completely unexpected, from an MAF recruiter. He found my name on the Finishers Project website. About 2 years ago I had made some inquiries re missionary flying. They all came to naught, and I forgot about it.

Without going into a lot of detail, the Lord lifted us out of our comfort zone and brought us to Mali. First, He did a job on our hearts, giving us a desire to do this. Then He removed all the obstacles to our going, and finally, He prepared the way and provided the means for us to do. God gave us a very special gift, not only in clearly showing that He was leading, but also in giving us the privilege of working for MAF here in Bamako. Never would we have imagined doing this! We are meeting and working with some very special people. We are seeing, experiencing and learning West Africa. I am flying again.

Finishers Project - WEB MATCH SHORTENED SEARCH TIME
Some years ago I participated in my first short-term missions trip. This sparked an interest for those who never heard the Gospel. Recently, I have been in the process of contacting mission organizations one by one. Although I would love to go on a mission trip with each organization, this can be time consuming in the preliminary stages. Then I was directed to your website by a friend. It was extremely helpful to learn about the conferences and to know there is a group that supports and directs those in mid-life or older! Thank you! Crystal, TX

Finishers Project - WEB MATCH AMAZED
We're amazed and encouraged by the response. Thanks so much for being so efficient. Mike and Holly, AZ

Finishers Project - NEEDED A BOOST
Finishers Project circulated our name so we received many inquiries from mission boards and were grateful. We knew your vision for connecting potential missionaries with mission boards was a great idea. Many do not know where to begin when they feel the tug of the Holy Spirit on their hearts.

In 2001 Mike took an engineering job in Romania. We were tentmakers sharing the Gospel at every opportunity. When the job ended in 2003, we returned to America determined to change careers and to find a mission board to serve with. We contacted you and again you had the mission boards contact us.

We chose UWM because they specialize in saturation church planting which we feel is, for many reasons, the best form of evangelism in the world. Already there have been 8 new small churches planted here in or near Bucharest. The multiplication process of saturation church planting can reach the world like no other method.

Most of all you just encouraged us and believed that we had a future in missions. We needed that boost. You have a unique and important ministry. Keep up the good work for the Kingdom!
Sherie and Mike, Romania

Finishers Forum - FEEDBACK, DECIDING TO GO
The Finishers Forum surely did have a lot to do with my deciding to go to Thailand. They talked about passion and there was such a sense of giving yourself to the Lord wherever He could use you. It was a special time of expectation and fellowship with people who wanted to step out in service for the Lord. Leona, Ontario

Finishers Forum - FEEDBACK, GONE FISHING FOR MEN
Just wanted to keep you apprised of our adventure and say thanks for the HUGE role Finishers Project has played in our lives. We were accepted as missionaries to Zambia, raised support over 6 months time and are now in the field. God used Finishers Project to move us forward at a critical point in the process and we thank God for this ministry and your faithfulness to your task. We are truly a Finishers Project product.
Glenn and Liese, CA (Now in Zambia. See www.actionzambia.org.)

Finishers Forum - FEEDBACK, GREATER INVOLVEMENT
There is a couple now in Xiamen China, from our church. They who were encouraged to go thru the Finishers Forum in Southern California. What joy to see the fruits of your trust and obedience.
KS, Missions Pastor

Finishers Forum - FEEDBACK, SERVING AT MISSIONS HQs
Thanks in part to our attendance at a Finishers Forum, my wife and I are now serving in the International Division of a Mission Agency based in CA. We thank God every day for the blessing of His direction. In just 8 months He has taken us to South Africa, Ghana, El Salvador and Cuba! Thanks, for answering God's call to serve people like us so that God's Kingdom would be increased.
Len and Jan, CA

FINISHERS EVENT FEEDBACK
A pastor of a church of 100 told us that as a result of the November Conference in Oak Brook they now have their first missions committee and their first missions trip to Ecuador next month. The missions director of another church of several thousand told us that their people were inspired to greater involvement.
Pastor in IL

FINISHERS PLAYED A PART
Finishers did play a part in our course to this point. We attended a Finishers conference in CA some time ago. There we met a man dressed in some native garb that stood out from People International (PI).

Later, we took the Perspectives course. Because of our contact at the Finishers conference we put PI on our list. We visited four agencies in a one week whirlwind trip and chose PI. We have finished the application and are now Candidates. We take a trip to Central Asia in February 2004 to interview several Non-Government Organizations. Then we take some courses on culture and language and maybe leave in May to August depending on events. That is it. My wife is calling me for dinner so I have better go.
John and Wife, San Jose, CA

I FOUND IT!
I have applied with a mission organization. Finishers Project is a very worthwhile group. You are providing a way to find opportunities without having to spend hours searching on the Internet. I have recommended your group to friends.
