WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT — MISSION:EXPLORATION

  • This Seminar challenged me to explore further involvement in God's global purpose.
  • It provided practical and biblical ways to do it for someone who had been thinking about serving in missions but not knowing how to start.
  • I was gripped by the challenge to be prepared to take a "structured time-out" to be ready to hear God.
  • This crystallized thoughts we have been thinking and praying about for some time.
  • This Seminar met, no exceeded, our expectations.

Highlights as reported by those who took the
Mission:Exploration video based course:
  • John Piper shedding light on the implications for us in Hebrews.
  • Spark a dialog with my wife to explore where God would lead.
  • Learning ways to channel our thoughts and desires for missions after retirement.
  • Too many to mention. It seemed so thorough to answer the questions that we "Baby Boomers" have.
  • Landa Cope video on where we are as a generation.
  • The whole package. The availability of all the information. It was well presented.
  • The whole course was so informative and a real challenge to me.
  • Excellent tapes.
  • It has been used of God to get me thinking about my next step in life.
  • Testimonies of people who have given up big positions and lots of stuff to go.
  • The challenge to be prepared spiritually for retirement/career change - to be open to God's leading.
  • Video presentation was very challenging.
  • Appreciated the scripture depth of all speakers.

This course is designed to be used as a four part or six part series in Sunday School or small groups.

What if the interest of one or more in the group includes local missions?
While the emphasis of Mission:Exploration is to join God in His passion for people among the nations, and the needs outside the western world are so very great in comparison, ministry to all peoples includes assisting at home. This could include assignments in the US with agencies that are engaged in foreign missions work. It also might include a ministry to a local affinity group (affinity by age, addiction, economic status, ethncity, etc).

This video based course will challenge adults of all age brackets (from 20's to 80's) to be a part of what God is doing to bring more people into the Kingdom that His house may be filled. Also, with minor transposition there is a ruthlessly biblical challenge to share skills to disciple the nations, some elements of which are local to you. Under the rules of grace, people can respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in several ways to be more intentional about ministry. Each is encouraged to develop their own 100-day plan.
