- How is your ministry section accessed? Do not use the Username and Password blocks on the home page of the web site. Instead, click on the box at the bottom right that says "For Ministries". This brings you to the Sending Agency HOME page. Click on the "Login!" link at the upper left. The browser will transfer to the page where our ministry Username and Password are entered.
- As of May 31, 2001 the database is populated with the profiles of people that have entered their names since May 2000. The web site initially includes over 750 entries of people who know there are implications for their lives. Couples are one entry. Those that have requested they be deleted will not appear.
- We will contact those that entered their names between late 1999 and May 2000 to verify the email address and ask them to replace their information. If the email address is good and they do not re-enter their names we will do so manually from our office and notify them of their assigned username and password. For those that left no email address, postal mail will have to do. This amounts to about 250-300 more entries.
- I am confident you will see this as a useful tool to recruit people into missions. The list of about 1000 entries seems small for the entire boomer generation, but it is a substantial start. Once you be come fully convinced in your own mind of the power of this new mobilization tool, I trust you will be an advocate for directing people to www.finishers.org for more laborers for His harvest. Begin thinking now in what ways might your agency raise the awareness of this tool.
- How will you know if who are new to the web site from the old entries? It may take some time to become familiar with this matching service. For a better feel of how this whole thing will work visit the Web Referral Matrix (Test Drive) area by clicking the link at the bottom of the Ministry HOME page. Then click the Login button at the start of the test drive area and poke around. The test drive section is for information only. You can do no damage there.
Briefly each ministry and each user has three storage areas called "New Listings", "Saved", and "Non-Active". The design intention is for you to move entries from "New Listings" to either of the other two areas or delete them. After you leave the web site the area "New Listings" should be empty. The area "New Listings" will be populated by any new or altered submissions or any entries that are "Selected" from any of the searches you choose to do.
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel,
