I still need help finding a mission organization. I speak Spanish and some Portuguese and have more than twenty years experince in teaching, training and consulting with regard to management, communication, and oranizational issues. But I am not extremely conservative. The "flavor" of Christian that I am is along the lines of Dallas Willard, Richard Foster and Brian McLaren...

Both my wife and I are active in SIL and have been for the past year: I as IT Projects Manager for Americas, she as Accountant for North America Branch. We were really dissappointed at last year's Finisher Conference in Colorado Springs. Only about twenty agences showed when there are probably 80 -100 in the C.S./Denver area.

We are officially endorsed with WorldVenture and are raising support for our first "job interview/vision trip" in the Fall to Russia, which is where we feel called. We filled out your survey after attending some classes at a missions conference or 2 and got connected w/ CBI (now WorldVenture). If this 'trip' isn't right for us, we may contact you for future options, but after exhausting WorldVenture's suggestions.

We are looking for Business Executives wanting to license/lead Genesis: The Business Workshop in companies, churches and associations here or abroad. The workshop focuses on how the Bible teaches us to lead and build a business on a Solid Foundation.

I think Finishers is great. I was only able to check one button time in each section on the first page even if I held the Control key down. Vicki Walsh

I actually have found that to go full time missions is not really right for me now, but short term missions projects I would love to do and am involved in an apartment ministry as we speak.

I just wanted to let you know that I retired last year and God has led me to a church that has accepted me as their pastor. I am now a full time pastor! It's a dream that God had put in my heart for many years, and He is ever faithful. My focus is different now, however, I would love to get the members of our church interested in doing short term missions.

I have been a speaker and exhibitor at past Finishers conferences, but am concerned that the conferences are not meeting the needs and questions (maybe unrecognized needs and questions) of attendees. My personal bias is that most people really don\'t have a grasp on "Where do I fit?" and the brief intro at conferences is just not enought to build the knowledge and confidence necessary to actually make a leap.

My wife and I had a very clear direction and commitment to short term missions for our "empty nest" lifestage. The primary need that Finishers met was learning of possible matches for our specific gifts. We are finding many people in our life stage potentially interested in short-term (2-4 week) projects, but not much beyond that time frame.

I am seeking a paid position, and your site doesn't realy help in that.

I have now completed a commitment abroad, which came about through a Finishers contact. I couldn't tell whether this survey was intended for people open to work with Finishers, or those who -- like me -- have already done so. That could have been clearer.

I always think I will go to a country, but it seems age, money, education stands in the way and all the applications are so complicated. I have no but me and I have nnot reason not to serve anywhere

Hopefully I will get my Masters in April 2007 I am open to what the LORD wants to do, missions or otherwise My wife and I are both open, if we know it is from God I don't know what we would not do. We are completely free in May 2007, after I graduate. I attend two churches; large Assembly of God on Sundays and a small community church on Saturday where I serve as an administrator. We are both involved in Teen Reach, for fosters kids after Royal Family Kids camp. I am their videographer. Actually this is the first I have heard from you folks in almost a year. Thanks Rick Adams

It would be great if you could bring one of your regional conferences to Milwaukee, WI. It would be great if - for a low cost or reasonable cost - you could make some vocational, spiritual gift, interest or peronality assessments or test batteries available to folks thinking about options. The consulting company that is affiliated with you - I don't remember their name but they are located in Western U.S. and provide "career counseling" are simply to expensive to take advantage of opportunity.

I only learned of Finishers through Ernie and Elaine Gentry a year or two ago. I have been involved in volunteering for USAID funded assignments in Uzbekistan in support of a project supporting the formation and operation of water user associations. I am acquainted with personnel of Resource Excahange International; and students and faculty of the Irriigation Institute that have benefitted from REI's English program and mentoring. The Gentrys' discription of Finishers' programs and conferences intriqued me. I could use some materials to challenge friends here in my home town and congregation with what to do with the remainder of their lives, and help in understanding the 'universe' of opportunities and how to access them. I would appreciate knowing of any activities scheduled in the Pacific Northwest. Ken Farner

We enjoyed our contact with Finishers and found a mission group to work with through your list of missions. However, this research was done on our own. As a result of a form we filled out when at the conference we received several contacts from missions that we were not interest in. This was unexpected and seemed a bit out of line. Our intent was to find the group that would work best with our talents and interests through learning about each one. I am not sure we found the best but we are happy with where the Lord has led us. It would have been helpful to have someone to personally talk with us about our interests and co-ordinate them with those missions that match. Thank you for the help that you have been. At this time we do not have a futher need from Finishers.

We are among CAM International\'s first Finishers. We started in 1996, through the exposure to the field on a short-term work team. Two missionaries asked us to pray about coming along side in support of the Costa Rican field. As our experience on the field has grown, we now are the only support or missionaries currently serving the ministries started here by CAM, since 1890. We have been self-supported over these years, praise the Lord. We now support the local churchs and Bible Institute as the Lord leads. Charles has B.S. ChE, MBA and Jan has B.S. Spanish Education. First work in 1996 was running a missions house. In 1997, Jan was asked to start a women\'s work with a seasoned missionary lady at a new church plant. In 1999, Charles drove bus for Hurricane Mitch relief work in Honduras, and supported four work teams, in two different locations. Trust in the Lord and FLEXIBILITY are key to being a Finisher. As a couple teamwork and immersion in the language are essential.

Thanks for the opportunity to dialog Don. One issue you should be aware of is that apparently someone on the web has harvested your profile emails and has spammed us frequently with all manner of junk. I have consistently deleted these, but i would suggest that emails should be kept secure and that access to personal profiles be a little less accessible to the casual intruder. may God bless you in your efforts to serve Him. keith

Thank you for this survey. I am very impressed with the quality, care, and presentation of the Finishers Project material. I have truly been inspired by your outreach and services!! I am dismayed over one thing. Perhaps it is my own misundertanding. I inquired about the mentor and coaching opportunities at a fee offered through Finishers Project and never heard anything. I did not search in depth for the reason why.
