Retiring at the earliest possible time, simply gives you more life options — options to be directly involved in the commission to make disciples of nations. The Finishers Project is sponsored by a local church to provide information and challenge for people to enter somewhere in missions from a "conventional" career. The Director, Nelson Malwitz, was born in '46 and operates from the perspective of a generic evangelical baby boomer. This serves the mission agency community well. There is no advantage of one agency over another. Our passion is to join God in his yearning for more laborers for His harvest. This also serves individuals well as most are comfortable in dealing with a church-based ministry. While it is too expensive to provide experts and a phone number to counsel people from the Finishers Project office, you and others can make contact with options and opportunities that fit your interests by attending a regional forum or by completing the opportunities form also called the STEP 2 Profile form. The Finishers Project will assist in narrowing down options that suit you. As options are reduced to a manageable number for you, any partner agency will be glad to connect with you to explain their vision, how you might serve the Lord with them and answer questions as you explore the details of what, when, where, and how.
