Win a trip for two!
That's
right! Just complete our upcoming survey and you
have our complete, 100% permission to grab a friend and
take a trip to your nearest Starbucks and celebrate your
valuable contribution! OK---so the word "win" may
have been a stretch, but if we could, we would gladly
take you out for a 'cuppa' to say thank you for
responding to our survey.
Two
years ago we conducted a survey with all our
contacts. We had a remarkable 14.4% response, far
above what the experts told us to expect! So if
you were one of those who responded, Thank You! It
was very helpful to us in measuring our effectiveness
and charting our future course.
Next
month we will be conducting a follow-up survey, using
some of the same questions and seeking to gain new
information as to how God is using Finishers to help
people connect with significant ministry
opportunities. I am asking you to please help us
by completing this survey.
Often
such requests are accompanied by statements like "it
will only take a few minutes of your time", or "we know
you are busy but this won't take long". I'm not
adding any of those comments. I'm not sure how
long it will take you, but probably around 10 minutes.
I am asking you to thoughtfully take whatever time
it might require to complete the survey and thereby make
a significant contribution to the direction of this
ministry.
Perhaps
we can even beat the 14.4%! Thank you in advance,
and enjoy your 'cuppa'!

"THANK YOU
FINISHERS!"
There are so many
mission agencies in existence that it was very difficult to
connect with ones who were doing the things or working
in the places where we felt called. So we opened
up a profile on Finishers stating the basics of our
desire to minister in a long term position in a limited
access country in Asia using my engineering skills in a
business as missions position. Two or
three days after we turned in our profile, we began
receiving phone calls at the rate of 3 or 4 a day for
almost two weeks. One agency called us and said,
"We understand that God is leading you toward missions,
how can we help? Here is our number" They never even
mentioned their agency or particulars about themselves,
they just left their name and phone number. We
were struck by the tone of that call and they way they
seemed to be most interested in helping us find God's
will and not interested in selling themselves. As it
turned out it, it was that agency that we called back,
met with, and now two years later are setting out to a
mission field in Western Asia with. Thank you, Finishers

Could I
handle living
cross-culturally?
Ever asked
yourself that question? If so, The Journey Deepens
might be a great experience for you. Spend the
weekend with a few people with cross-cultural
experience---ask your questions---share your
story---gain from their wisdom---and leave with a
greater understanding of the unique challenge and
privilege of living in a different cultural
setting. Follow the links in the left column to
learn more and register for either of the next two
offerings.

Dallas - November -
2008 !
The only
conference of its kind, the Finishers Forum, is being
held November 7-8 in Dallas, Texas. Interact with
others in your same life-stage---people who are
contributing well in their present circumstances, but
have this inner sense that there is something
more.
A
Finishers Forum turns on the lights for the "something
more." Breakout sessions deal head-on with the
questions we all have as we consider making a move to
become more involved in Christ's global cause.
General sessions provide opportunity to hear from "real
life Boomers" who have walked this road already.
And woven through all the sessions is time dedicated to
interface with men and women from ministry
organizations, allowing you to speak directly about your
interests and how you might connect to what God has
prepared for you to do.
Follow
the link in the left column to register for the only
Forum being held this fall.

Partner Agencies - Conference Registration
now available
If you have
not already reserved your space for the Forum in Dallas,
please use the link in the left column to
register. There is a limited number of areas in
which to display so we encourage you to make your
reservation before they are gone. The planning
team in Dallas is shooting at 500 participants, so this
should shape up to be a quality event for helping
Boomers connect with a significant
ministry.
