Most people die with their music still inside. Oliver Wendell Holmes
INTRODUCTION

It may have dawned on you gradually. Or it may have been triggered by a sudden change in life's circumstances a relocation, change in health status, retirement, job loss, divorce. Either way, one day you admit to yourself that you are not happy with how your life is turning out. You want a change. You want to discover a greater sense of purpose, more meaning, more passion, more fun, a deeper sense of calling. Discovering My Motivational Fingerprint is a personal, guided process of discovery. At the end, you'll learn how to make your own music. You'll understand your own motivational preferences and your unique gifts. And you'll have a plan for getting traction on your next phase of life.
FOUR STEPS IN THE DISCOVERY PROCESS
- TAKING A PERSONAL SELF-PORTRAIT
The process begins with a series of personal assessments using a variety of assessment tools. Taken together they yield an in-depth look at your personality, how you think, and your personal preferences.
- DISCOVERING YOUR MOTIVATIONAL FINGERPRINT
During this step you will discover the motivational thread-line or pattern that has been at work throughout your life by exploring past achievements things you deeply enjoyed and believe you did well.
- WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE?
This step is an in-depth analysis of your skills and abilities, educational background, vocational experiences, and painful experiences. Some people also include the spiritual experiences from their unique faith journey. There are two questions up for consideration during this step. How can your skills, abilities, knowledge and life experiences be of benefit to others? Who would benefit the most?
- LIVING ON PURPOSE
During this final step, specific action plans are developed and implementation begun. You start to get traction. Your motivational preferences begin to find expression and your life's purpose is lived out day by day.
