Paul ErdmannFinishers Project (AZ)

Paul comes to Finishers with 27 years of experience in business and non-profit management. The first 21 years in managing (3 years) and then owning (18 years) a retail lumberyard in the small Northwest Iowa town of Paullina. The last 6 years have been as the Chief Operating Officer/Business Manager for Urban Impact Ministries in New Orleans, LA.

Influenced by short term mission trips in 1996 and 1997 to New Orleans, Paul and his wife Colleen were called by God to leave the business world and to use their gifts and talents in full time service for God’s Kingdom. In 2001, after unsuccessfully trying for 3-1/2 years to sell their successful business, they liquidated it, “left everything and followed Jesus” (Luke 5:11).

The move from rural NW Iowa to the inner city of New Orleans was challenging to say the least. Ethnically, culturally, physically – these were all huge adjustments that needed to be made. But God stretched and grew Paul and Colleen and used them in a mighty way to help Urban Impact Ministries grow into a vital and sustainable resource for the inner city community called Central City.

It was difficult to leave Urban Impact. But God clearly revealed that the Erdmanns had accomplished what God had brought them to New Orleans to do and that He had a new assignment – a new challenge for them - with the Finishers Project.

Paul has held various offices in his local church, on district boards of the Ev. Free Church, and currently sits on the National Board of Directors of the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Colleen and Paul have 4 children who are all grown and on their own. Chris (33) and Drew (30) both live near Paullina, IA. Nick (28) and his wife Becky live in Crystal Lake, IL. Daughter Jenn (26) and her husband Kyle reside in Danville, VA. There are no grandchildren yet – but hopefully soon!

Julie Kay Field (CA)

Her early discipleship was influenced by a church youth group she attended which included personal Bible Study as well as group study and evangelism. Over the last 30 years Julie has been involved in leading small groups and other lay ministry leadership.

In 2003, Julie made a major decision to transition from her 1st career of 20 years: she attended seminary and answered the call of her Savior to fulltime ministry.

Julie comes to the Finishers Project with 20 years of retail sales management as well as 4 years of full time ministry and non-profit management. Julie earned her M.A. in Cross-cultural Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Inter-cultural Studies. She holds a B.A. from SDSU and certificates in Mediation, Human Resource Management and TESOL.

Julie has served oversees teaching ESL-Business in Gdansk, Poland and has traveled extensively to work along side missionaries in Philippines and Poland. In 2006, she joined a team from her church who has adopted an unreached unengaged people group in Ethiopia. She travels twice a year in order to help oversee the progress of the Jesus Film translation, meeting the needs of school children and micro loans to poor women and orphans.

Julie holds the title of Proud Coast Guard Mom. Her son Jeff is commissioned officer LTJG United States Coast Guard, Tactical Law Enforcement Teams.

Julie is thrilled to join the team at the Finishers Project as Director of the new “Coaching Network”. She hopes that by bringing talented, spiritually astute and ministry neutral coaches alongside the people who submit their profiles, they will become better equipped applicants for our ministry partners, thereby impacting the Kingdom for eternity.
